MediaMarket
In 2006 and 2007, Halcyon carried out a number of feasibility studies for MediaMarket; |
| |
The first study proved the original proposal of internationalising the service
would not have been achievable. |
| |
A second study developed a more robust strategic option. |
| |
The project has raised the multi-million in R&D and working capital required. |
| |
Following this a market entry strategy was developed. |

Skunk Works-Nothing to do with Halcyon, just a great story!
Skunk Works is Lockheed Martin’s legendary secret aerospace operation (they designed and built the U-2, Blackbird and F117 Stealth Fighter)
It's the extraordinary story of many engineering achievements with the pinnacle being the discovery in the 1970’s, on page 37 of a 40 page top secret Russian research paper, the key breakthrough of reflective electromagnetic radiation- Stealth Technology.
How the team at Skunk Works recognised the importance of these few lines of research and then applied and implemented them is the key to innovation.
The story of engineers working elbow to elbow in stinking hot environments (the name came from the smell of the plastics factory next door) not more than 50m away from the aircraft being built- Loving what they were doing, driven to excel and loyal to the team and the boss.
Skunk Works created their own myth and innovation ecosystem, one that encompasses the core values of the innovation process.
These disciplines can be used across the spectrum of business sectors (ICT, software, manufacturing etc) ultimately giving the customer the most creative solutions at the best value.
